The results that we've had back are exactly what I get on my machine when it works. This means it isn't a 'palettized printer' problem or a banding problem, surely the driver would request multiple bands and/or fail when doing the StretchDIBits() call, neither of which happen. I am left with confirming that the the image it is trying to print isn't actually blank (this is the best explanation for the above behaviour) and/or changing it to print a 24-bit image instead of a 32-bit image (a random stab-in-the-dark type solution).
