It seems "cur_thing" never gets set when you change tools. As an experiment, I tried switching to an arbitrary stamp in the stamps tool (one of the top ones), and then switching to brushes. Scroll down once, and suddenly a different brush was selected. :^) I seem to have fixed the problem. Will test a little to make sure nothing weird happens as a result. ;) Thx everyone! -bill!
