I've finally figured out how to link TuxPaint statically to the libpng and libintl/libiconv libraries. For anyone who's interested, when linking statically, don't use the -lpng or -lintl flags (this is only for dynamic linking); instead you specify the path to the static library directly, along with all your other object files (in my case, ... tuxpaint.o /sw/lib/libpng12.a /sw/lib/libintl.a).

A new build is posted below.  Hopefully this fixes the launch issue.

I tried the last build on a virgin 10.2.3 machine and it barfed on a iconv dependency. I apoligize for being so quiet but I've got some deep TT2 issues I'm trying to deal with. Other irons in fire include Mac OS Classic builds of both TT2 and TP which I'm deep in also.
