I've attached a zone plate image. Put it in your stamps directory. (should this go in tuxpaint or tuxpaint-stamps?)
First, try it plain. If you see dark vertical bars, you need to get a new monitor. If you see more circles than the central one (and hints of off-image ones), you have a gamma problem or a crummy LCD scaler. Second, try it resized. Go up or down one stamp size. You can use this to improve the thumbnail() function. Third, try a printout. This may reveal that your printer software and/or printer sucks.
