The thing with the rhombus/diamond is that you can squish it to non-90-degree angles BEFORE rotating it. You cannot do that with the square. (I also don't want to turn Tux Paint into a geometry teaching lab. There are no doubt better programs for that, for the appropriate age range(s)) (Like KGeo or something...
