I assume it's the old excuse that people tune out faster on wheel
programming, although it seems to me that unlike old MTV ("MTV never
begins and never ends"--Bob Pittman), HN could be considered as 48
half-hour programs a day. If even the Weather Channel is doing long-
form shows...
