A fan learned that Rick Holmes, who currently plays the Knight of Ni, is
responsible for coming up with the "current events joke" for each show.
Rick, who also plays Sir Lancelot, is wonderful BTW.

It's possible that a fan has been tracking the lines. I will ask.

BTW, I was there on the opening night of Clay's return to the show,
September 19th. That evening, the joke was "I am the father of Sarah
Palin's daughter's unborn child." Then, when the knights exited the
stage, he said: "Let's go put lipstick on a pig!"

Hey, thanks, Clay! ;)

Which reminds me: Spamalot has what I call the "current events joke" in
the second act, a line or two that clearly changes frequently to reflect
some topical situation. Might anyone know of an online repository for
these jokes? Do you suppose anyone has been blogging them or keeping a
Wiki-ish page?
