And because Reuters shouldn't have all the fun:
Observer receives suspicious package

Police and law enforcement officials were called late Tuesday morning
to the Charlotte Observer building, after a suspicious package was
received in the mail.
Authorities said the package was not hazardous.
A Charlotte Fire Department official says it is the second time this
week that a suspicious package has been mailed to uptown area
businesses.
Charlotte fire Capt. Rob Brisley said the fire department's Hazmat
team responded to a call from The Observer about a suspicious package.
Among the contents of the package was a powdery substance.
“Our field monitoring team determined that the packages were non-
hazardous,” Brisley said.
The matter has been turned over to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police and
federal officials.
Brisley said a business on the 17th floor of a Charlotte high-rise
business building had questions about a package received Monday. He
said that package also was determined to be non-hazardous.
Today's suspicious package came a day after the New York newsroom of
the Reuters news agency was evacuated for nearly three hours after an
envelope with a “puff of powder” was received.
Reuters spokeswoman Jolie Hunt said police told the staff to evacuate
the 19th-floor Times Square newsroom after an editor opened an
envelope and a “puff of powder” came out. Police later determined the
envelope to be non-hazardous.
Earlier this month, letters, many containing a suspicious white
powder, were sent to Chase bank offices and two other financial
institutions in several states and to the New York Times headquarters
in New York.
Reuters news agency contributed.
