If there are more conferences out there like the Big Ten who already
have their own cable channel (which made it on Comcast in Chicago
after a year of posturing)--and in a restaurant with cable, not
satellite, for some reason a couple of weeks ago I saw a channel for a
Rocky Mountain States conference--I would suspect that they would not
want a BCS channel competing with them, ESPNU, FCS (even if those
channels are just repurposing college and prep programming from the
FSN channels) and CBS College Sports.
Offhand, how many of the other big conferences have their own channel?
