And, just to refresh our memory, this was the piece that the NBC family of networks rolled out so proudly just after the Palin nomination was announced that seemed to establish her as a serious player. http://www.cnbc.com/id/26462569/ In retrospect this interview was significant - I think it was what gave Palin, and maybe even some of the McCain people (though they should have known better) the impression that Palin could handle herself and succeed in interviews with the national press. This was the early Palin narrative - that she was a grown up expert on energy policy, which made her a foreign policy and national security expert since "energy independence" was going to be the key to all that.
