Joe Scarborough and sidekick/news anchor Mika Brezenski are now
following their "Morning Joe" show on MSNBC with a daily mid-morning
program on New York's WABC, which ABC Radio Networks is intending to
make national ASAP:

Which means that although "Newstalk 77" has locally-originating
programming into evening (Imus before Joe and Mika, comedian Rush
Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Mark Levin afterward), it's all syndicated,
so nobody's talking about what's going on in America's largest city on
New York's most-listened to talk station until 10 p.m.--and Curtis
Sliwa is considering syndication. Something's wrong here--and WOR's
only slightly better when it comes to local programming (and new Salem
right-wing talker WNYM is all syndicated). One hopes that NPR station
WNYC resists the urge to make national its Brian Lehrer and Leonard
Lopate shows.
