The "Homicide" showrunner and "Oz" creator had left the mid-season NBC
drama over arguments with Ben Silverman over the direction of the
series about a benevolent billionaire (Fontana wanted social
commentary, Silverman wanted light and shallow, like the rest of his
prime time lineup)--with David Eick going to the "BSG" prequel
"Caprica" (which he co-created), Fontana is back as showrunner and is
rewriting the scripts (only the pilot's been shot so far):
