Shales has a line in the article about Comedy Central's "pre-dirty"
era? Pray tell, when was that? I know that Shales doesn't like
Stewart and Colbert--does he hate "South Park," too? And it seemed to
me that "MST3K" always skirted the line and was not exactly pure as
the driven snow.
And considering that COM's highest-rated programming consistently is
anything Blue Collar Tour-related, which considers itself "family-
friendly," where does Shales get this "dirty" crap?
