I'm not surprised.

As much as I love my Zune, I don't love the software glitches I'm still
encountering. For example, I had trouble removing the Christmas music
(and I suspect I'll have trouble getting it back on next year), and that
Quicklist feature I really liked disappeared sometime between May and
October. And, if I want to know what happened to it, I will have to
make a trip to the forums to read. And, I haven't found the time to do
that. At one point I had trouble loading video. But by the time I
plugged the thing in again, the problem had been fixed.

I still feel strongly that Microsoft goofed big-time in not having the
Zune work with the WMP software that already existed. My guess is that
had Microsoft done what was totally intuitive to everyone -- but
Microsoft -- the Zune would have captured a larger market share than it
has.

I'm still using my 4GB, so I'm not encountering the Y2K-like problem.
My 30GB is still in its box, and hopefully, by the time I take it out,
the problem will have been fixed. However, based on my observation from
last year, it could take Microsoft as long as two months to fix it.

Via Joe My God.
Gizmodo is reporting that the nation's 30GB Zune owners are waking up
today to find their devices "frozen" in some apparent Y2K-ish
programming glitch. The problem is being reported by thousands of Zune
owners across numerous user forums.

Apparently, around 2:00 AM today, the Zune models either reset, or were
already off. Upon when turning on, the thing loads up and... freezes
with a full loading bar. I thought my brother was the only one with it,
but then it happened to my Zune. Then I checked out the forums and it
seems everyone with a 30GB HDD model has had this happen to them
