But "Passions'" Ethan Crane is now "Days'" Brady Black. And yes. Diedre Hall has been overpaid ever since she came back from the dead and/or "Our House" in primetime with the very young very gay Chad Allen, Mr. I Have Diabetes, and Shannen -- Kevin's Imaginary Girlfriend. I seem to recall that when both Hall and Wayne Northrop came back to the show in 1991 they were each on million dollar contracts. Mighta been a record at the time, and it probably increased over the years Hall. With the auto industry tanking that means the soap operas (which have long been car operas) have less ad rev. So yes, it's sad that the entire cast has been told to take pay cuts (even La Lucci at AMC had her salary slashed) and they outright took what have to be the biggest total costs off the ledger.
