The guys in the multimedia department at the company I work for (I'm the IT
Manager who has to procure and install software) use AVS Video Converter for
this purpose.

Can't offer recommendations...I don't personally use it. I just install it,
and fix it when they break it. I just know it does what you're describing
here. I'm sure there are other programs that do the same thing.

I need a program that will allow me to select a section from an MPEG2
video file and save every I-frame in that section as a bitmap file
like Picture(0001).bmp, Picture(0002).bmp, etc.

Anybody know of a program that does this?
