The BBC SF cult comedy is making a semi-one-shot return on Easter
weekend on the UK digital channel Dave (yes, Dave) for a two-part
episode that will bring the characters back to Earth:

Also to be shown that weekend is a totally-improvised episode of the
series and a "making of" doc.

It's Dave's first venture into original scripted programming,
something the UK "multichannels" that aren't directly BBC-owned or
directly attached to the commercial terrestrial networks are known for
doing (Dave is owned by UKTV, a co-venture between the Beeb's for-
profit arm BBC Worldwide and Virgin Media). "The home of witty
banter" has a lineup consisting mostly of smart-arse repeats of
"Little Britain," "QI," "Top Gear" and others--and of course, they air
repeats of "Red Dwarf." (And no, they've never aired "Late Show with
David Letterman.")
