TOM'S TOTALLY TWISTED TV TRIVIA THINGY Which troublesome color was "Lie to Me's" Tim Roth in the movie "Reservoir Dogs"? A) Blue B) Brown C) Orange D) Pink E) White The correct answer will be stuck in the middle with you on Thursday. --- President Obama gives todays exclusive interview to Kermit the Frog on a "MUPPET NEWS FLASH" (Check local listings). The discussion centers on the decades old unpaid bartering fees of his new Secretary of the Treasury, Ernie. It seems he and his roommate Bert never paid grocery store owner Mr. Hooper any taxes on trades of a rubber duckie for a cigar box, and a paper clip collection for a soap dish. 8 p.m. Tiki Barber, (last seen being given the bird on the new so-so "Electric Company") guests on "KNIGHT RIDER" (NBC). And yes, people keep breaking the first two rules of "Fight Club." The Jonas Brothers discuss nuclear proliferation on "KATIE COURIC'S LIKE TOTALLY ALL ACCESS GRAMMY SPECIAL 'N' STUFF" (CBS). But instead you'll watch "AMERICAN IDOL: HOLLYWOOD WEEK: DAY 2: A CAPOLKA." 9 p.m. In the first posthumous award, "THE MARK TWAIN PRIZE" (PBS) goes to George Carlin. Richard Belzer, Lewis Black, Margaret Cho, Denis Leary, Joan Rivers, Bill Maher, Garry Shandling, Jon Stewart, and Lily Tomlin celebrate his ingenuity and anger. "THE CHASER'S WAR ON EVERYTHING" (G4) attempts to explain U.S. football. Presumably so that all the activities sound less like gay p*rn than they normally do. Okay, after they put on padding and get their pants laced up ... the one guy crouches down and grabs the ... then it goes between his legs ... and they have to grab him and drag him to the ground ... and then all the other guys pile on top of the guy with the strangely shaped leather object ... "LOST" (ABC) does the time warp, again. It's just a jump to the left! Prep school students and astronauts who may have sabotaged a flight both "LIE TO ME" (Fox). An astronaut who has his flight sabotaged by murder doesn't have a very happy "LIFE" (NBC). "MONSTERQUEST" (History) can't find the Loch Ness Monster. Their actual conclusion? The beast's deceased. "SPECTACLE: ELVIS COSTELLO WITH ..." (Sundance) rocks it with Herbie Hancock. 10 p.m. After a decapitation which the police can't make head nor tail of on "LIFE ON MARS" (ABC), everything's coming up noses (and daffodils) for me and for you. "TOP CHEF" (Bravo) takes to the Michelin three star Le Bernardin. And we all know what that means. "DOG THE BOUNTY HUNTER" (A&E) is A) back and B) still on. More than one person seems to have lost a bet. The fox questions the motives of the rehired hound on "DAMAGES" (FX). Rue McClanahan guests on "LAW & ORDER" (NBC). Apparently Rose just had to tell one last St. Olaf story. Blam! TALK SHOW DEATHMATCH Dave leads off with Joe Torre, Lyle Lovett and John Hiatt; Jay thinks he can with Drew Barrymore and will.i.am; Craig pounds quarters with Samuel L. Jackson; The Colbert Report detects Steve Martin; Jimmy is the apple of Justin Long's eye and Tavis milks things with Sean Penn. TONIGHT'S WINNER: Tavis. QUESTIONABLE ANSWER In 1990, ABC had a strange unsold pilot for a "Facts of Life" ripoff with a college professor living with five students. Who flunked out before the first semester? Ms. Westhiemer in "Dr. Ruth's House" But the conversation has just begun, add your own suggestions or discuss mine on the "TV or Not TV" Google list or at tvornottv.net.
