Carol Thatcher's backstage racial slur at a black tennis player before a taping of a BBC program has become the big media circus right now, partially thanks to the Tory newspapers, whose aging readership sees no problem with Thatcher comparing a black to an old children's toy but would be running to the ramparts if Gordon Ramsay let out a steady stream of unbleeped mentions of his favorite word, even after the 9 p.m. adult programming "watershed":
