An anonymous tipster claims Matthews' voice was the one heard uttering "Oh God" on MSNBC just as the Republican response to Obama's speech began. One assumes he was not praying to the Almighty for strength (during the OJ trial, Gerry Spence infamously cried out "Jesus Christ" while sitting in Lance Ito's courtroom, and, in the hopes of avoiding a contempt citation, claimed he was praying, not expressing shock at a particularly bad ruling made by the judge).
