Sounds probable to me. As a redhead myself, it seems to me that if a
series has more than one redhead on a show, the characters are
related. Further, it is more common to see a blonde actor and a
brunette actor playing related characters than two redheads playing
unrelated characters. I also can't help but notice that if a redhaired
actor or actress wants to do a serious role, they are quick to change
the color of their hair. Some may make a subtle change (Nikki Cox),
while others go for something much more drastic (Lindsey Lohan). Only
a few (such as David Caruso and Tim Busfield) have the courage to stay
red. I salute them (though I'm still holding a grudge against Caruso
for leaving "NYPD Blue," a choice which indirectly led to the casting
of Ricky Schroder).

A comedian pointed out a similar, though not identical, phenomena on
"The Love Boat," that whenever an African American woman walked onto
the cruise ship, the episode was entitled "Love for Isaac."

Yep... redhaired stereotyping rears its ugly head in prime time.
