The people who twittered as 'Mad Men' characters were terrific. At
first I wanted nothing to do with them, but after seeing others
mention them I took another look. Their interpretation of the
characters was spot on. And, just as importantly, they stayed in
character no matter what other Twitter users were saying to them.
Carri Bugbee was brilliant as 'Peggy Olson', channeling just enough
subtle resentment at not being taken seriously by the men at Sterling
Cooper. And Helen Ross as 'Betty Draper'? I think I'm in love (don't
tell 'Don'). I actually voted for her in the Shorty Awards in the
category Bugbee won in. AMC should give these guys a bonus for keeping
their brand alive post-season in such a modern way.
