Shaun Williamson is supposed to be playing himself. But they treat him
as though he's still called "Barry" his Eastenders character. That
character was a bit stupid - loveably stupid. And the gag here is that
nobody can remember the actor's name, and he's stupid in real-life.

There's not much more to it than that.

But it's even more caustic when you realised that Williamson has not
exactly gone on to greatness since leaving Eastenders. Many actors use
the soaps (which go out in primetime remember) as stepping stones to
bigger careers. But not all them "make it." And they then return to
the soaps as their characters come back from the dead/return from
abroad (Delete as applicable).
