I believe that in many or most instances, "The Late Late Show" is done on the day of broadcast, as evidenced by the timely references in the monologue. But some segments are done piecemeal over the course of a week, then assembled after the fact into whole episodes. They also bank entire episodes in advance (sometimes way ahead of time) to expand C-Ferg's breaks from the studio for touring, vacations and the occasional quickie marriage - and he will joke about the time trickery on camera.
