The construction pit seen in "Parks and Recreation," premiering tonight, was dug out of a vacant lot in Van Nuys, across the street from my apartment; there have been five or six filming days there over the past couple of months.
Unfortunately, I don't have a very good view of the action from my apartment -- it's not high enough to see into the actual pit very well, and there are some trees partially blocking things.
