The "article" on yesterday's front page promoting the premiere of "Southland" had a black border around it, an "advertisement" marking and an NBC peacock, but was still made up to look like an actual article, causing distress and worrying in the usual places about groveling for advertising (NBC wanted it "above the fold" where it could be seen on newsstands and in boxes, but the editors protested):
