Broadway casting director Bernie Telsey says that current "Idol" front- runner Adam Lambert was on the fast track to play Spider-Man in the forthcoming Broadway musical from Julie Taymor, Bono and The Edge about the web-slinger before he made the Top 13--although 19 and Fremantle's onerous contracts will probably keep him from doing the show, especially if he wins it all:
