A California court has thrown out a libel suit a "Jane Doe" made against Ali G's alter ego Sacha Baron Cohen, HBO and UK Channel 4 over a remark made by the character in an episode of "Da Ali G Show," in which the woman's actual name was used disparagingly in an interview with a befuddled Gore Vidal, claiming that no one could take anything Ali G says as real:
