My wife met Lehrer. She had just finished a performance of "Merrily We
Roll Along" and one of the cast members said, "I'd like you to meet my
friend Tom." They chatted for a few minutes (after he told her how
"wonderful" she was), and then someone mentioned "Tom Lehrer." She
went mental and realized who she'd just been talking to.
