A friend of my wife is working on a book, with a chapter about "certain weird modern ways by which people become instant low-brow celebrities -- including appearing on reality TV shows and behaving in some eccentric or extreme way so that they stand out from the run-of- the-mill hoards of competitors ... someone who became a minor celebrity as a result of their behavior (and/or misbehavior) on one of these type of shows." He didn't know many, and my own reality viewing is limited, but I was able to come up with William Hung, Richard Hatch, Mirna and Shmirna, Rob and Amber, and Omarosa, but I figure if anyone can come up with better examples, it's TV Barn.
