You really need to see the video of Lumley with the minister responsible. She is one person you really don't want to mess with.
She appeared on the main Sunday morning political show last week, The Andrew Marr Programme, and because she's passionate and very well spoken, her case comes across excellently. In fact, quite why the government's behaving quite the way it is, is unfathomable. The British Army recruits Gurkhas from Nepal to fight for us. They are especially tough and brave. And many of them don't have any right to reside in the UK when they leave the army. Most of prefer to return to Nepal anyway, but that's not really the point. Anyway, this isn't the place for politics.
