A few thoughts: Cold open was cute but unoriginal... it is basically how he opened his anniversary special a few years back Nice that they kept Conan's "Late Night" theme Liked the new opening credits (and hope every show begins with the "living color" intro) Andy Richter looks like Chris Farley Andy put a nice button on the "Choco Taco" bit that otherwise would have fizzled Conan needs to get used the 380 audience members... fast Longer monologue does not mean better monologue Conan thanked Jay Leno The "Conan is a geek" gimmick won't play forever... at some point he has to accept that he is now "the man" The peach furniture is sort of sickly looking They need to let Andy sit on the couch... otherwise get rid of the couch Jay's first guest was Billy Crystal, who was funny... Conan's first guest was Will Ferrell, who wasn't Billy Crystal sang Jay a song, which was funny... Will Ferrell sang Conan a song, which wasn't Pearl Jam is the Bon Jovi of their generation... in other words, every song sounds the same (this one sounded a little faster) Wow... cutting to commercial AFTER the last guest... no seamless transition like Jay used to give to Conan... bye-bye Jimmy -- Kevin M.
