While I don't doubt they were mockups -- the NY one especially -- they pixellated the number on the California license, which would seem to be unnecessary if it were a fake. Also, I'd guess that the remote with Conan driving his Taurus was taped at his actual house, which looked to be somewhere in the Valley. BTW, enjoying TTS immensely so far.
