In Chicago, Weigel Broadcasting's analog class A low-power WWME
"MeTV", which boasts a signal that covers most of the Chicago area
thanks to a Sears Tower transmitter, is simulcasting most of the
programming of sister true indie WCIU, along with NBC-owned WMAQ's
early morning and 6 p.m. newscasts and Tribune-owned CW affil WGN's
prime time newscast (starring Chicago's TV weather guru Tom Skilling),
for at least thirty days for those who still haven't converted to
digital:

Digital and cable viewers will still get the regular "MeTV" lineup
(it's one of WCIU's side channels, along with sister Class A low-power
WMEU [more classic TV "MeToo"], brokered foreign-language FBT and
movies ThisTV--the only side channels in the Tribune's TV listings),
but I assume that this analog signal will stick with WCIU's Sox game
tonight at 9 p.m. instead of WGN's news (WCIU is the backup station
for WGN's sports contracts that can't air on WGN due to limits on pre-
empting CW programming).
