Luther Mack owned several local McDonald's. The feds raided them and ended up deporting about 55 workers who were here illegally. Two of Mack's top managers pleaded guilty in federal court to helping the workers get false identities. Mack's corporation also pleaded guilty and paid a $1 million fine.
Cosby to appear at Fuddruckers opening Monday at the Legends BY RAY HAGAR [email protected] Comedian and actor Bill Cosby will make a guest appearance Monday morning at the opening of Fuddruckers restaurant at the Legends at the Sparks Marina. Cosby is appearing as a friend of the owner of the Fuddruckers franchise, Reno restaurateur Luther Mack. The grand opening begins at 10 a.m. with Cosby expected to arrive about 11 a.m. Also, Kenneth Cole Company Store will open its Legends retail center on Saturday, Legends officials said. The Legends first-phase retail area, which opened last Thursday with 24 new stores, drew an estimated 120,000 people to the shopping complex in Sparks during its first weekend, from Thursday to Sunday, Legends officials said. Fuddruckers prepares top-quality hamburgers, ground daily, with 100 percent Kobe beef. The Legends’ Fuddruckers, 6,000-square feet, will seat 224 people. Fuddruckers was founded in 1980 in San Antonio, Texas. Now the franchise has more than 260 locations.
