NBC has apparantly dumped "Locals Only" as its unifying brand and is now tagging their station with what appears to be Facebook/Livejournal status updates that link to news stories. Sometimes, they look like station editorials (NBC Connecticut is furious about tax cuts on the horizon.) Sometimes, they look like blurbs from an AI with a very rudimentary emotion chip. (NBC LA is sad about Michael Jackson's estate.) Sometimes, well.... (NBC DFW is laughing about sex in mall bathroom stalls.) They're not editorial... they're how people are voting stories. (The statuses are linked to the stories.) It's a bizarre sight to behold. (Also because they are using a title font that looks like it came from the Pac-Man video games.)
