So they solved the buffering problems? That's my main concern.
What buffering problems, I hear you cry.
1. You're watching something you've recorded. When you're done, you go
back to the live feed on whichever tuner is currently primary ("Tuner
1"). Problem: The DVR acts as if you just switched to that channel
from another channel, and so you cannot rewind to catch up on the
previous segment of the live feed.
2. You're watching something on Tuner 1. Tuner 2 is set to some other
channel, but is not recording that program. You switch to Tuner 2.
Again, there's no rewind available. And when you switch back to Tuner
1, same thing.
Hoping I've described that adequately, and that neither situation still occurs.
