Disney has been quietly getting out of everything but the niche end of
the radio business for the last year or so. They sold KABC (strongly
affiliated with KABC-TV) and KLOS in Los Angeles. They're keeping
Radio Disney and ESPN Radio, but dropping the rest of their radio
properties like hot potatoes. Meanwhile, in Southern California, CBS
seems to be flipping their stations to Top 40 formats as a last-ditch
effort to turn a profit before selling them off.
