I marathoned four episodes of DDD the other day (#2-5). I like it a
lot, though I have to make some apologies for it. Like, even for a
fantasy, it's fantastical. In the Rosie O'Donnell episode, how did
they manage to seat a jury overnight? Okay, we're supposed to overlook
that. And the next one, with a Thania St. John script, was enormously
better. There's a low-set-budget-imposed claustrophobia, but the guest
star budget seems healthy (or such as Reed Diamond, Sharon Lawrence,
Mark Moses, Peter Jurasik and Mitchell Laurence are willing to work
cheap). One clear "it's only cable" hiccup: The end credits for
episode 3 didn't air. Instead, the episode 2 enders were never
updated, and so ran again. Yes, some of us do actually read credits.
