Points awarded to Time Warner for adding slo-mo and frame advance capability to my DVR during a recent overnight software installation.
Points deducted from Time Warner for my having to discover these new capabilities by accident, rather than by them letting anybody know by making an announcement. Further points deducted for the overnight software installation occurring while I was recording this week's Inspector Morse "Mystery!" The DVR rebooted itself, costing me 15 minutes in the middle of the story. Maybe they'll figure out how to postpone the reboot when the machine is in use.
