In a previous gig, I worked at a company that was going to do a
complete internal rebranding. They spent four months working on it,
making all sorts of look-and-feel decisions. About three weeks before
go-live, someone decided to confirm the font that they were going to
use was available. As it turns out, the person who made the decision
had done no research on it, and the font was not only not available,
but only available from *one* source, which would've immediately
recognized that font, and the company would've been on the hook for
the same boatload of money that NBCU will be.
