I have another theory.

A group of students from Stagedoor Manor, which was the inspiration
(and location) of the movie "Camp" as well as the subject of the docu
"Stagedoor", is scheduled to perform in a big finale segment at the
end of the parade (just before the appearance of Santa, or so I'm
told). In the interest of full disclosure, I should add that I'm a
proud Stagedoor alumni (8 summers!)...and I lived across the hall from
Zach Braff in 1988 (there - now the post is tangentially TV related
again).

My thought is that the performance from the Stagedoor Manor campers, a
group of talented teenagers with aspirations of someday being
successful entertainers, might somehow be overshadowed/devalued by the
cast of "Glee", a group of [presumably] talented 20-somethings playing
teens on TV who rely too heavily on auto-tune and reverb (or so I'm
told - I haven't watched the show yet). And so "Glee" was removed
from the line-up.

Or maybe it was the Leno ban.
