It seems to me that one big difference between the Will Leitch
Deadspin and the Gawker Deadspin is that Leitch could pretty much post
whenever he wanted to or when he had something. It's no secret that
Denton requires a minimum output from his writers--and not just every
few hours, but something designed to spark comments (I've heard that
if a topic doesn't generate heavy comments, it's banned from that
blog). It would seem that Daulerio and whoever else is doing the blog
has to put a lot of unsubstantiated stuff up to keep the pipeline
flowing and the hit count up.
