On the other hand, "Black Dynamite" has pretty much played out its
short string in the big cities and is on its way to DVD (I realize
that its distributor, Apparition, may not have the money to do 2,000
screens, but it need to have legs in the big urban markets for it to
fly).
But it does show that Lopez and TBS want to be playas in late-night--
when Chelsea Handler started, almost all of her guests were reality
show people before the numbers started picking up and I don't know
what sort of names Mo'Nique's been getting on BET (but she may be
getting some A list black performers turning in favors to BET).
