Turner's done similar things before. I recall this year they
repurposed the premiere of "Hawthorne" on TBS (complete with running a
TNT logo bug instead of the TBS logo bug) and repurposed the second
season premiere of "The Bill Engvall Show" on TNT. Seems to me that
Turner wants a roadblock for their big entry into late-night, not
Lopez. As long as they don't add TCM or Adult Swim.

And I see that Jim Paratore's producing the Lopez show (he used to run
Warners syndication and co-produces Ellen and Bonnie). If there's
going to be a house band and if I were a musician on said band, I'd be
worried about getting cut back to one day a week if the show isn't an
instant hit. Just ask the members of Bonnie Hunt's house band, save
musical director Ian. I wonder if they're going to bother clearing
music, too.
