I recently viewed an interview TS did 30-years-ago with the always
controversial Ayn Rand (accessible on YouTube). The way he showed
courtesy and humor towards the woman was astonishing. The way he was
able to make her feel at ease and openly talk about her beliefs was
professional. The way he managed not to laugh in her face or call her
a freakin' psycho was miraculous.

Of the more than 30 different television shows I worked on, I think I
learned more from Snyder than from anyone else in the industry. Nobody
presently in the business has the ability to conduct an interview the
way Snyder did. And I never met anyone with a better understanding of
the nature of the business. I'd be content if NBC pulled Fallon and
Daly and replaced them both with old Tomorrow Show reruns. There have
only been two DVD releases of Tom's interviews, and that is a shame.
