I can't watch The Mentalist, but I do enjoy Lie To Me. I think I mentioned here last spring that I attended a session at a psychology conference last May by the woman that the female character in LTM is based on. She basically said what you have above - the similarity between what they do on that show and what she and Paul Eckman do in real life is almost coincidental, but it is a lot of fun. -- TV or Not TV ....
