As someone who's done a little tape trading in the past, one word of advice: never make that offer. In the weird ethics world of tape trading, offering money for a tape is a big no-no. If you find someone who has it, send a simple little e-mail asking, begging, and pleading and you might get a hit. But the moment you offer money, you'll almost certainly get shot down immediately.
