Idol seems to be ready to decline and replacing it with X Factor makes a lot of sense. There will be the anticipation of a new show and Cowell gets to negotiate a contract based on a good track record. I wouldn't put it past Fox to try to keep AI running and putting it together at a smaller scale could keep it viable even with a sharp drop off of viewers. Tom -- TV or Not TV ....
