You know, there's this notion that Twitter was started so 13-year old vagina-havers could trade OMGs about their boyfriends, but it was actually created and first used by tech professionals and other 20/30- something adults - some with wangs! (I've been on Twitter since the early days.) Only in the last 6-9 months has the service become what everyone seems to dread - that sort of omnipresent media extension that everyone HAS to have an account on, but no one understands why.
